Pintai is a record label & wholesome get-together in Amsterdam.
Here the label returns with an EP by Hame, the Amsterdam based producer, live artist and DJ whose music explores the fusion of energy and emotion, aiming to create moments of
unity and connection on the dance floor. This slightly more club oriented EP is filled with overwhelming pads, tough grooves and powerful consistent low-end tones.
The EP opens with the delicate ‘Dear Sammy,’ incorporating ethereal pads, glistening reverberated keys and saturated, bumpy drums throughout. Title-cut ‘Set Me Free’ follows and leans into more dub leaning territory courtesy of fluttering, ever nuanced stab sequences, a crisp rhythm section, snaking low-end tones and vocal chants uttering the track’s title. Opening the B-side is ‘Love Touch’, diving back into deeper realms via hazy atmospherics, subtly blooming synth lines and a robust underlying drum groove. ‘Take Your Time’ then concludes the EP with an arpeggio bass hook, drifting dream like synths, organic percussion and gritty bass stabs all subtly unfurling across its six and a half minute duration.
