These are, of course, the legendary 'Dead Bent' and 'Doomsday', taken from the now legendary 'Operation Doomsday' album originally released on the now defunct Fondle'Em label.
On 'Dead Bent', MF lays his nonchalant flow over haunting violin loops. Originally released in '96 as an EP, then re-recorded slightly differently for the '99 album version.
On 'Doomsday', MF settles down to gentle piano and vocal samples. Sprinkled with old-school scratches, the instrumentation is simply magnificent.
The B-side features a seemingly exclusive instrumental.
This EP is a must-have!
